Provides direct service to the immigrant population working
in the county and indigent Americans of the surrounding area.
This agency assists with medical bills, partial rents and
shut-off notices for utilities. Some of their families
have no homes and live in cars, sheds, barns or with relatives.
Those with children are a priority.

Monte Vista -
$3,000 - Saint
Joseph located in Monte Vista began a nursing program for the
elderly
living in this parish who can't afford to go to a physicians
office due to insufficient funds.
- Hispanic
Affairs Project, Grand Junction -
$13,000 - The Hispanic
Affairs Project is a continuation of formation of
Spanish-speaking Catholics in the Grand Junction Deanery.
The purpose is to empower progression to leadership and ministry
positions in the parishes. Previous participants are
leading bible study groups, facilitating baptism preparation
classes, teaching formation classes and preparing others for
liturgical ministry as lectors, extraordinary Eucharistic
Ministers, etc.

$1,500 - Funds were
used to help this parish hire a teacher of Spanish and English
as well as bi-lingual books and materials.

used to replace 30 year old furnaces, keeping operating costs
significantly lower and ensuring a safe environment for
parishioners.

$3,000 - Money was
used to help defray the cost of installing a new roof for the
church.
- Sacred Heart,
Avondale -
$1,000 - Resources were used for catechetical leadership
development and to purchase bi-lingual materials.

$5,000 - Used fund to
build a handicapped ramp that leads into the church.

Xavier, Pueblo -
$5,000 - Renovations
of handicapped ramp to church to meet ADA code.
- Sacred Heart,
Alamosa -
$5,000 - Funds were used to purchase a van for transportation of
youth to and from diocesan an deanery activities.
- Saint Paul the
Apostle Church, Pueblo West -
$10,000 - This mission
parish is in the process of building a new church to better
serve the Pueblo West Community.
- Our Lady of
Fatima, Olathe -
$2,600 - Funds were
awarded to this mission to help with operating costs.
