“Rudy” Headlines Foundation Dinner 
Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger the inspiration for the classic 1993 movie “Rudy” was the featured speaker at the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation’s annual dinner. The event was held Friday evening, June 1st, 2007 at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center in downtown Pueblo.
The only player ever at Notre Dame to be carried off the field on the shoulders of his teammates, he is the son of an oil refinery worker and the third of 14 children. It took years of fierce determination to overcome obstacles and criticisms, yet Rudy achieved his first dream - to attend Notre Dame and play football for the Fighting Irish. His captivating personality and powerful message of “Yes I Can” will make a lasting impact.
The evening featured a social hour, silent auction, catered dinner and “Rudy.” All proceeds from the event go directly to support the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation. Individual tickets were $90 and tables of ten were $900. Call 544-9861 ext. 132 for more information.
