ABOUT US

The Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit corporation that helps support a wide-range of needs throughout southern and western Colorado.  The current Foundation was established in 1995 by Bishop Arthur N. Tafoya with funds from the Seminarian Burse Endowment.  These funds have grown and are now able to help supplement the cost of educating and training young men for the priesthood.  These men will serve our community in the future.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Bishop.  The Board consists of clergy and lay men and women who represent the many diverse geographical areas of the diocese.  They have distinguished themselves through their business, civic, volunteer or church activities.  The Board is responsible for fiscal management, events, policy and planning for the future.  An Executive Director and Executive Assistant administer day to day operations.

The Board of Directors expanded the Foundation's good works in 2001.  In an effort to touch more lives, a grant program was initiated.  This program supports parishes, rural missions, tuition assistance for Catholic Schools, humanitarian concerns and a general fund for emergencies and additional needs.

The Foundation strives to act as a catalyst for Catholic philanthropy by encouraging a partnership with parishes and individual donors to help them achieve their charitable and financial goals.
